A Russian theatre and film actor.
He graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute (class of Y. Shlykov) in 2001 and was accepted into the company of the Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theatre. There, he performed in productions including "The Night of the Iguana" by T. Williams (Pancho), "The King Stag" by C. Gozzi (Leandro), "Chasing Two Hares" by M. Starytsky (The Beat Cop), "King Lear" by W. Shakespeare (Edgar), "Othello" by W. Shakespeare (Roderigo), "The Government Inspector" by N.V. Gogol (Lyapkin-Tyapkin), and others.
He has worked at the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theatre and the Oleg Tabakov Moscow Theatre. In 2005, he was accepted into the company of the Moscow Art Theatre (MKhT), where he remained until 2014 when he decided to focus on film projects. His filmography includes nearly a hundred films and television series ("Playing the Victim", "The Chiromantist", "The Escape", "The Three Musketeers", "MosGaz", "Steppe Wolves", "Mutiny", "The Grim River", "Living Life", "Frozen Land", "Black Sun", "Aeterna", and others).
He returned to the Moscow Art Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov in 2020 in the role of Alexei Bulanov in Kirill Serebrennikov's production "The Forest". He is currently performing in the Moscow Art Theatre's production "Cyrano de Bergerac", the Moscow Sovremennik Theatre's production "Two for the Seesaw" (while also being the author of the new stage version of the production), and the production "Emigrants" by the theatrical agency "Art-Partner XXI".
